Guilain is a Partner at Reed Smith LLP and advises sovereign-wealth funds, private equity funds, industrial clients and managers in private and public M&A and restructuring.

As a dual qualified lawyer in France and New York, Guilain is highly regarded for his in-depth knowledge of complex multi-jurisdictional work. Practicing in a broad range of sectors involving real estate, leisure, medical and retail, Guilain believes that both client trust and commercial thinking are key to successful transactions.

Guilain is a graduate of leading French business school HEC, where he majored in Legal and Tax studies, and of the University of Paris I Sorbonne where he obtained a Postgraduate Degree (DESS) in Business Law and International Taxation in 2003. Guilain obtained a LL.M. from Stanford Law School in 2009.
