Paulo Castañón graduated from Stanford University in 1996 from the MSc. Operations Research Program. Additionally, he has degrees from INSEAD - MBA 2002 and Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) – BSc. Telecommunications Engineering 1992. Paulo has more than 20 years of experience as executive managing Operations, Information Technology and Business Development at international companies in France, China, USA & Mexico. Companies include Procter & Gamble, CEMEX, Brambles, E2OPEN & INFOR. His area of interest and expertise is in the Enterprise Digital Transformation. He has launched start-ups, including the launch of the Roundten Sunglasses brand (roundten.eu), where he now sits at its board.
Paulo founded and is also leading the Supply Chain and Operations club at the INSEAD Alumni Association. He is fluent in Spanish, French and English and has notions of Mandarin. Paulo enjoys and actively participates at international marathons and long distance triathlons. He is active and enjoys guiding blind persons training and running for marathons at the courir-en-duo group.

Erik graduated from Stanford with a bachelors degree in Computer Science (2001), right when things were getting hot in Silicon Valley. He immediately moved to the Cote d’Azur to work on his French. Since then he has lived and worked in Barcelona, Bahia, Boston, Mexico City, New York, and now Paris where he went back to school for an Executive MBA with the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (2016). Kimiya Shams is an attorney with several years of work experience in international intellectual property law and corporate transactions. Having previously practiced at international law firms and companies in Sweden, France and the U.S., she is currently working as a legal counsel at a leading audio technology company based in Paris.
Originally from Sweden, Kimiya earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Stockholm University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Stanford Law School where she specialized in Law, Science and Technology. She has also been enrolled at Harvard University and Oxford University where she has specialized in intellectual property law and economics. Kimiya has wide experience in advising on intellectual property matters and corporate transactions, having counseled leading international companies, including legacy and new businesses as well as acquired public companies and start-ups, on intellectual property strategy and technology transactions.
Interested in the intersection of law, technology, fashion and business, Kimiya has in parallel to her academic and professional life worked as a writer reporting on the challenges of protecting intellectual property rights in the digital age. She has published numerous articles related to intellectual property law in various leading international magazines, among them Forbes Magazine, The Independent, The Business of Fashion etc. She is also the founder of Young Intellectual Property Practitioners (YIPP), an informal group that endeavors to bring together young intellectual property practitioners and to promote a global exchange on the development and administration of intellectual property regulation.
